How ImportMetric handles analytics and the sourcing data you enter into our browser-based tools.
Last updated: October 2, 2026.
ImportMetric's V1 calculators run in your browser. Decision Report data is stored locally in your browser and is not uploaded to an ImportMetric account or database by these V1 tools.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 only when you choose to accept analytics. It helps us understand which pages and tools are used and how visitors move through the ImportMetric workflow. Analytics may process information such as page views, general device and browser information, approximate location derived by Google, and interactions with our tools.
Your analytics choice
On your first visit, you can accept or decline optional analytics. If you decline, ImportMetric does not load the Google Analytics tag. Your choice is stored in your browser so we can remember it on later visits. You can clear your browser site data to reset this choice.
Calculator and Decision Report data
Values you enter into the calculators are used in your browser to perform calculations. When you add results to the Import Decision Report, V1 stores the report data locally in your browser. Clearing the report removes the report data from that browser storage.
What we do not ask for in V1
The current free tools do not require an ImportMetric account. Do not enter confidential personal information, passwords, payment-card details or other sensitive information into calculator fields or project-name fields.
Third-party services
If analytics is accepted, Google Analytics is provided by Google and Google's own privacy terms apply to its processing. ImportMetric may link to third-party websites; their privacy practices are controlled by those third parties.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as ImportMetric adds accounts, paid features, lead forms or other services. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
