EXW to landed cost

EXW exposes more
of the logistics chain.

With an EXW quote, the buyer may need to arrange pickup and export-side movement before the main international freight even starts. Those origin costs can materially change the apparent supplier price.

Use the written supplier quote and local customs rules to confirm which charges belong in the actual calculation.

Quick answers

EXW landed cost
FAQ.

Why can EXW look cheaper than FOB?

EXW usually leaves more origin-side logistics with the buyer. Factory pickup, export handling and related charges may not be included in the quoted product price.

Should export handling be added separately?

Yes when it is not included in the supplier price. Confirm who pays pickup, export clearance, terminal handling and other origin charges.

Does this calculator determine the correct customs value?

No. It uses a simplified planning basis. Actual customs valuation depends on destination-country rules and the shipment documentation.
